PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Dear ISACA Members and Guests,
Welcome to the Austin ISACA Website. The Austin Chapter strives to provide our members with a local resource for information on current Information Technology Auditing concepts, standards and knowledge sharing. The events we have scheduled for the 2008-2009 year are:
ConSec 2008 will be held September 22-25, 2008. We have partnered with DIR, ISSA and ACP for this event. Please see the ConSec website for registration information. The conference has always provided high quality CPE at a low cost for Austin and the surrounding metropolitan areas.
Chapter CPE luncheons will be held on the first Tuesday of the month, beginning in October 7, 2008 through May 5, 2009. However, we will not meet during January 2009.
The CISA and CISM exams for December 13, 2008 (final registration deadline is September 24, 2008). The Chapter will not offer a review course for the Dec. exams. For additional information please see the ISACA International web site.
The CISA and CISM exams review courses for June 2009 will be offered by the Chapter. Please see the Event Calendar for details and registration information for the review courses.
We seek to continuously improve the Chapter website. Luncheon presentation information will be updated as soon as have confirmed our Speakers. If you have any suggestions or announcements you’d like to include, please contact our webmaster, Stan Hogan at webmaster@isacaaustin.org
Interested in Volunteering to Serve the Chapter?
While the board positions are filled for the 2008-2009 chapter year, there are still opportunities to make a contribution to the Chapter. Additionally, we would like to have a succession plan in place for all Chapter officer positions. If you are interested in becoming more involved with the chapter, please contact me or any of the Board members.
