Michael Gough, Senior Information Security Analyst, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts
Michael Gough is the Vice President of the local ISSA Austin Chapter, a CISSP, CISA and currently a Sr. Information Security Analyst for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Michael has spent the better part of the last 20 years as a Consultant in both Information Technology and the last 15 in Information Security. Before joining CPA, Michael spent the previous 8 years work for Hewlett-Packard in the North American Security Consulting Practice helping fortune 100 accounts design, evaluate and improve Information Security.
Michael is a published author with two books from Syngress Press; 'Skype Me!' and 'Video Conferencing over IP'. He is also involved with the Center for Internet Security providing input into the CIS Benchmarks for Windows, HP-UX and Wireless with an article on Assessing your Wireless Networks on the CIS website: http://cisecurity.org/en-us/?route=downloads.show.single.report.100 Michael has also presented at many Information Security events and provides information on Safe Surfing and Home Security to school students and their parents.
